Thank you so much for this eye-opening, jaw-dropping information!! You know I am embarrased that I have not investigated the ingredients of my dogs food in past years. I always have thought if I got the "best".....of course, normally the most expensive brand listing lamb & chicken & vitamins and veggies...that my 4-legged friends would be happy and healthy. I recently adopted a 2yr old neopolitan Mastiff named Maya. She is a sweetheart, but I am telling u that she has the worste GAS we have ever smelled in our life and it's occurring often throughout the day and evenings. The other thing we have noticed is that Maya often eats her own or other dog poop if not supervised. I know this email just keeps getting grosser...but it's all a real issue! This is how I came upon your great article/info on diet, as I have had a number of dogs in my life and never experience this to this extent.
